Study, Plan, Repeat

So, here I am, supposed to be finishing one of the 3 assignments I have due on Tuesday, not to mention, studying for a test I have to have submitted by Monday, and all I can think about are the preparations for Trent's birthday party tomorrow! I cannot wait! He is going to be so happy and cute!

We're going with a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme, and while we had grand plans to make ears for all the guests, things just didn't pan out the way we'd hoped. First off, after posting the step-by-step instructions, my mom went at fever-pitch to churn out one set. And burned the heck out of one of her fingers on some hot glue! Poor Mermus(that's my name for her. I'm weird, and everyone has nicknames)!Anyway, she set to work trying to find another way. And she did! Yea! And we were planning on getting together this morning to work on them. Except we had Trent and Kimber with us, both of whom had been sick and are still are tad sick. With neither of them napping at all, we decided it would be best, for sanity's sake, to just break down and buy them. :( It was between spending $.50 and 15 minutes working on each set of ears, or just buying them for less that $1 apiece. Money and time well-spent, we believe!

I'd better get back to studying, but just wanted to leave you with a few words from Mickey: "Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!"

P.S. Those are the secret passwords to get into Mickey's clubhouse should you ever find yourself wanting to go there. Ahem. I do quite often.

"It's the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! Come inside, it's fine inside! M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!"

"Stawby" Means Strawberry

I am sitting here this morning thinking about the mountain of things I have to do today, yet what keeps coming to mind is that my little baby will be TWO in a couple of weeks! What the heck? Where has the time gone? Seems like only yesterday, we were driving to the hospital!

I keep thinking about what a long way he's come, as far as developmentally. Whoa! The kid never stops talking! Here are just a few of the things he says on a daily basis(and I will try to type them phonetically, as he speaks them):

Doink = drink
Foinny = funny
Juke = juice
Meelk = milk
Ce-al = cereal
Ous-eye = outside
sheoo = shoe
gickey = mickey
keeesohn = Kidsongs(DVD of kids singing songs that is really annoying to Chris and me, but Trent loves. Also buys me time to separate laundry or take a shower[with the door open, of course])
shee = cheese
tar = guitar
vatra = water(I think he's from Transylvania...)
Tadda = Tanner(our dog)
cubbies = covers
cobby = coming

Those are the main ones. Super cute! And again, I cannot believe the Lord has given us this gift! We both feel so honored to have been given him to keep for God for his time on this Earth. Lord-willing, we will live to see him have children.
